One palette. Every app.

Feed it one Omarchy colors.toml and get matching themes for ten apps, or start from a wallpaper and get the palette too.

Palette Forge output: one palette applied across several app windows

New in 0.1.1

Fixes for check --fix and from-wallpaper. Release notes

Ten apps, one look

Ghostty, Kitty, Alacritty, foot, VS Code, Zed, GTK/libadwaita, Firefox, Obsidian and Vesktop.

Three commands

  • build writes themes for every app from your palette.
  • check --fix makes text reach 4.5:1 contrast and the accent 3:1, adjusting only lightness so your hues stay put.
  • from-wallpaper turns any image into a full dark or light Omarchy 4 palette that passes check.
A Steel & Ember ember-and-steel wallpaper turned into a matching color palette

Install

No sudo, installs into ~/.local. Needs Python 3.11+ (from-wallpaper also needs numpy and Pillow).

git clone https://github.com/synthalorian/palette-forge && cd palette-forge && ./install.sh
palette-forge build ~/.config/omarchy/current/theme

./uninstall.sh removes it.
